Hoping I might be able to catch a Steelers game that isn't on CBS, if you get what I mean... edit: From my lips to God's ears? Assigning credit for something so random to anyone is asinine. Along those lines, Willis McGehee is fine, probably has one hell of a headache though... Jeez, and then there's this, so stupid. I'm with Polamalu, pretty soon, the NFL will be a touch football league. Well, at least I have two weeks of puff pieces about the Steelers to look forward to.
Sorry I've been gone so long, again...
I am trying to get back to this. I have had stuff to blog, just no time to do it. Anyhoo, if for nothing else, "bacon" memes were really big this past year, twitter took off, and aww hell, I could go on and on, but I won't. Just one post for now. There is a word that took on different proportions, just in the last year or so. It is FAIL. Go to Buzzfeed.com if you want to find out more about all things internet viral and otherwise. The first, the last, and the only time I will even use this word is now. The expression is Epic Fail. Perfect example of the expression. Glad that I got that out of my system.
This is why I blog....
Forget all the stuff I've posted previously about the Virginia Tech massacre, and all of that. The guy that killed the Montgomery Regional Hospital security guard, and the Montgomery County Sheriff, the girl that had her boyfriend murdered on the dark-side of Radford, the guy that went in to my local Walmart and killed his ex-girlfriend. Oh, and this guy). Not positive, might be leaving some out, all 39(update: Another one at Tech, this one was a doozey)of those homicides in the 3 years since we've moved here. South Central L.A., I mean Southwest Va. Keep in mind this list doesn't include the "attempted" murders, drive by's and whatnot, where the people ended up living. We added 3 more to the list last night. 2 septuagenarians, and a bovine. A Pulaski County Sheriff shot and killed a deranged 70 year old codger. Supposedly he attacked the officer with "a blunt object, and a knife". The other incident, in nearby Floyd County, entailed an Animal Control officer attempting to kill a cow. The cow and the owner both died of gunshot wounds...If you don't believe me, you should question your beliefs... I think I need to get another gun, and a bigger knife. Welcome to the jungle. WTF?
Man overboard! Abandoned blog! Oh dear, once again, the assinine nature of my exisitance has prevented me from blogging on a regular basis...I will try my best to rectify this in the coming days. It isn't like I haven't had stoopid stuff transpire that might amuse others, but rather that I haven't had the opportunity or motive, it's just that spare time, in these times, is quite precious. See, even if not one person reads these posts, it shows a certain sense of continuity to my life, the lack thereof at some future point, will remain a mystery. And I suppose that is the point of all of this, is to de-mystify one's existance to anyone who plumbs the depths of someone else's life. In any event... I'll get back to ya...
